All projects financed by the Smurfit Kappa Foundation are underpinned by our commitment to helping underprivileged people in the communities where Smurfit Kappa Group has the privilege of operating.
The aim of the Smurfit Kappa Foundation is to fund projects in these communities, particularly those which are sustainable and focus on helping underprivileged people through health and nutrition, education, basic care and by reducing inequalities that exist. All of the projects we undertake are aligned to at least one of the six United Nations Sustainable Development Goals we have chosen to focus on, which include ending poverty and world hunger, promoting healthy lives and wellbeing, and learning opportunities for all, to name but a few. Below you can find an outline of the SDGs that we support, and associated projects which we have funded in the last number of years.
